Stan's Complex Existence
Hitchcoc21 January 2017
More discoveries. Stan is the center of this episode, even though he isn't on screen that much. Sarah and Stephen go to Alexi's home and arrest him. As they interrogate him, he is not forthcoming until they play back a phone call made by her. It's apparent that the two of them did not have an adversarial relationship. Unfortunately, before he can give them some more information, he is released to his lawyer and brought back to Janek's. Cut to Mitch, who is staying in a hotel near the water. While in a diner, she befriends a street girl, talking to her about her past and consoling her. She is streetwise and probably a prostitute. Meanwhile, Jamie is told by Richmond that he is to call off the campaign. He tells Jamie to get out and leave him alone. His depression is so thick you can taste it. Alexi enters the picture on his own, hiding in Holder's car. He has news to share outside the police station. Terry continues to take care of the boys who are getting more and more despondent. Stan gets bad news from his lawyer. He is now desperate and sad. Terry is there. As is always the case in this series, some startling news is presented at the close. This is a pretty pithy episode and now we need another suspect. If there's a criticism, it's that this is endless.

Warning: Spoilers
Review By Kamal K

Linden and Holder do amateur detective work that they still manage to bungle. After arresting Alexi, they learn that they only have eight hours to interrogate him because he was asleep when they brought him in. The kid does end up calling on Holder and Linden to tell them the Larsen father twist. Also, Alexi is actually Rosie's really close friend whom she called in fear for her life on the night that she died. As expected, he is probably NOT the killer.

In Linden's personal life, as usual, her kid takes second place to her work. Even as Jack suffers from a severe illness, she barely cares.

In the land of the Larsens, we finally see Mitch again, and she's befriending the teenage runaway who kind of looks like Rosie. Mitch tries to understand Rosie through her, but this proves futile. Nevertheless, the two of them had decent chemistry.

Back In Rainville, Stan goes to the police station to rat out his former mob friends since he now feels threatened by them. But Linden, doesn't care enough to listen to him and tells him to leave.

Finally, Richmond continues to be upset over the loss of the use of his legs. He has a nightmare of Belko coming to kill him, pisses himself, and cries. But when Jamie figures out Mayor Adams was the one who planted the photo implicating him, Richmond regains his strength and wants to "destroy him."

Alexi knows it all

Warning: Spoilers
It turns out Rosie was afraid of someone at the casino on the island. He left a voicemail for Alexi whose father got killed by Stan and he told the detectives that Rosie knew that Stan wasn't his father. Stan's wife is still staying at a motel. The councilman's rival was the one who created that fake toll photo of him.
