When Kenny Noye takes the film from the photographer that took his picture, the film is obviously unused. To remove it from the camera it would need to be unwound from the take-up spool and back into the canister. What the photographer hands over is the canister with the film pulled out a bit further than just the lead.
On the night of the police raid on Kenneth Noye's home, both Noye and his wife are entertaining Brian Reader in their living room. The song playing in the background is "Never Let Me Down Again" by Depeche Mode, which was released in 1987 over two years after these events occurred.
