I just finished watching The Island of the Death Gods. Filmed in Florida, the plot is pretty simple. Three men, trying to escape from the prying eyes of the media, book a fishing charter and get more than bargained for. As you get closer to the end of the film there is a lot of blood and gore some nudity, but not has much has you would think. The acting is surprisingly good and I love the twist ending.
The Island of the Death Gods reminds you of the horror films in the 60's, you know the ones with a lot of blood and gore. If you love the horror films that were produced by H.G. Lewis or Lloyd Kaufman you will enjoy this film.
For a 1st time independent and low budget film, Jeff Freeman has written and produced a movie that has it all, suspense, action, funny and entertaining. I can't wait to see what this director/writer does next. Bravo!! ( reviewed by Donna Green )
