Too Much Soap
Hitchcoc24 August 2023
Where to start. The foreign minister is an interesting guy. He has these lofty ambitions, willing to take down the Prime Minister so he can achieve that position, but allowing his sexual activities to put an end to it. He has been a slimy, conniving character from the get-go. The pure evil character is the newspaper editor and disgraced politician and extortionist. The two women are given jobs that are pure smut, but are so desperate for their jobs, they go along with it. Birgitte having that fling with the driver is beyond belief--stuck in there just for titillation. After all her anger, to use her power to get a little sack time is beyond belief. And, of course, the final scenes of the car discovered by the jogger and the aftermath. Pure theater.

Too Weak

Warning: Spoilers
The writers continued to portray Brigitte as weak in the face of challenges. We're glad that Troels was finally taken down. But Brigitte had nothing to do with it. So that really wasn't her overcoming anything.

The relationship between Can't Keep It in His Pants, Kasper and Katrine was REALLY boring during this episode. As if that wasn't enough, they threw in the Prime Minister taking her driver to bed. NOT a good look for Brigitte as all. And the poor guy winds up losing his job as a result of trying to fix her sink?

How about Henne and Katrine protecting Troels instead of exposing him? Not since the early 1960s have professional journalists protected people like that. So that part was totally unrealistic.

And finally, I'm tired of the longing looks between Kasper and Katrine. That's WAY overdone at this point.
