I wonder if CBS turned down any spy series around the time they started the first FBI. This episode has the whole former or compromised spy on the run. A decent episode but if you have the budget for Europe(probably low taxes) you should get a good group of writers and do a well above average T. V. show.

Thought I was Watching James Bond

The foreign country, the bad guys, the car chase, the attractive female sidekick... it felt like I was watching a James Bond movie. I felt bad that the other lead and supporting actors took the backseat in the season finale; only Forrester was doing all the work. And I was so annoyed and done with his mother who kept saying "I gotta go" and hangs up on him. Finally, I am bummed out that Jaegar is leaving the show. She was my favorite character.
Case Took a Backseat Over to Scott's Mother Issues

Jaeger is promoted but bad news is that she is on her last assignment and just hope that the actress Christine Paul is not leaving and really is one of the main reasons I watch the show.
Anyway the case that has a jet shot down has the Fly Team take the lead over on it due to an American citizen but that it takes a backseat.
Still it is unresolved issues with Scott's estranged mother, played by veteran actress Elizabeth Mitchell of "Lost and V" fame as she would be arrested over treason and by assisting her, Scott could lose also his badge and freedom.
The team is in the dark a bit but at least they have Scott's back. As Scott is going to need it. Despite the higher ups pressure there!
Can't wait for season 2 and 3!

Why are they getting rid of Katrin?
Apart from Vo she is the only character worth watching in this show. I don't blame the actors, they are just dealing with the same poor scripting you see in a lot of Dick Wolf productions and why I've already stopped watching the original FBI.
High morals, followed by an episode of 'completely out of character' breaking all the rules and then straight back to moralising at everyone. Tedious to watch & just an example of poor character writing. If not for the aforementioned Katrin & Vo this would get one star (at best) from me.
Lose the leads (too compromised now), get better writers and this could be a classic.
