Clint Eastwood in Cry Macho (2021)

Goofs

Cry Macho

Edit

Continuity

When Mike and Rafo are stopped by the police towards the end, the sun is casting shadows to their right as they are facing the officers. However, throughout this scene, the sun is casting shadows in different positions indicating that the scenes were filmed at different times of the day and then edited together.
When Mike is about to go to sleep in the church, he lifts the blanket to spread on the pew. When the scene shifts, the blanket is back on the pew.
(at around 1h 11 mins) When Mike is talking to Rafo after coming off the phone to his father, an extra in a white stetson can be seen on his own walking behind Rafo. However, a split second later, a woman can be seen walking alongside him who was not there when the man first enters in the background.

Factual errors

When Mike Milo starts driving to Mexico, shortly after crossing the border, he drives past a bunch of running horses. In the scene, Mexican road signs do not have the yellow triangle on their side that No Passing zone signs in the USA have.

Anachronisms

Some of the vehicles are from the 1980s.

Errors in geography

The entire Mexico/Texas border crosses the Rio Grande.

Character error

One of Marta's Spanish only speaking daughters uses ASL instead of the Mexican standard LSM when she signs "thank you".
