I love this episode it's my favorite of the season tied with It Came From The Nightosphere. Marceline is starting to worry about her friends especially Finn and Jake. She realized that sometimes her pranks can go a little too far. Marcy really had a "Big Sister" type role in this episode. The part when the boys think they're vampires and scared Lumpy Space Princess was funny.

One of my favorite episodes. Marceline really saved FInn and Jake's lives after a prank gone so wrong. It was amazing she used her Vampire Kicks to defeat some Ghost Friends after they took the Prank too far. Marceline is awesome!
Season 2: Great fun but leans a little bit too much towards the ironic adult audience than it did in the first season

I really enjoyed the first season of this show and quickly started watching the second. One of the things that had pleasantly surprised me was that the content of the show seemed to work for everyone, that it was well pitched so that it didn't exclude any ages but also didn't have aspects which would work for some ages but not others. The second season generally continues this trend and most of the episodes have stories that fit well into the target age-group, while also being fun and creative and funny enough to work for older viewers such as myself. The characters remain funny, the animation continues to be creative and use its influences well, while the stories are age-appropriate while also having a good darkness or maturity within them that makes them more than just some silly animated adventure.
As with the first season the comedy also aspires to be more than silly kids stuff but in this second season I didn't always like that there seemed to have been a slight turn towards the ironic older viewer. This is manifested in a lot more frequent use of risqué material, substitution swear words and comedy/references that will only really hit home with the older viewers. While a lot of this obviously worked for me, this slight movement didn't totally sit well generally in terms of the tone of the show, with it taking away a little from the joyful openness that I felt the first season did so well. The lean towards the adult viewer also seemed to occasionally detract from the solid base of morality and lessons that the first season also did so well. None of this was massive or destructive, but for me it was a disappointing step for the season to take; understandable perhaps considering how popular the show is with older internet viewers, but I still must confess I preferred the first season over this one.
