Maura uses Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle as an example of reluctance to hold celebrities accountable. However, Arbuckle was in fact tried for the death of Virginia Rappe, although the conflicting accounts, and fact that everyone involved hid the crime for almost a week, meant that there wasn't enough evidence to convict him.
