(at around 3 mins) A screen comes up stating that Fountain Pens were invented in "1883". While Lewis Waterman patented the first "practical" fountain pen in 1884 there are records of modern style fountain pens going back for almost two hundred years prior to this. There is even a record a fountain style pen as early as 953, when Ma'ad al-Mu'izz, the caliph of the Maghreb, demanded a pen that would not stain his hands or clothes, and was provided with a pen that held ink in a reservoir and delivered it to the nib, which could be held upside-down without leaking, as recorded in Kitab al-Majalis wa 'l-musayardt, by Qadi al-Nu'man al-Tamimi (d. 974). The same screen speaks of the most expensive pen which is named the "Aurora Diamante" which is actually made of Platinum with a solid 18k gold Nib (versus "head") and cost 1,000,000 Euro or approximately US$1,251,642 at current market rates.
