Blacklist better with Reddington in it!
bosporan2 April 2022
An episode reinforcing my view that the investigations are significantly stronger with Reddington in them. Cynthia Panabaker moves to the dark side in desperation and no doubt the debt will be called upon in the future. The Munchhausen plot is somewhat hackneyed, but this is well done even if Mary Sutton is portrayed overly creepy. All-in-all a decent episode.

Two negative points: 1) Boring dialogue is not improved by rotating the camera endlessly around the scene. 2) Another cringeworthy Ressler intervention/celebration scene to finish - when will they let this horsecrap go?

One Step Beyond
Hitchcoc16 December 2022
Munchausen by Proxy is a real problem. There are numerous cases every year around the country. They are like the fireman setting the fire and then putting it out. Motivation, however, seems to be based on a mental illness. In this case, the mothers who were doing this to their children, have been taken by a couple of weird nurses and made to experience what their children experienced. When the Senator's daughter is brought in it seems to her family this is impossible. We have another episode where Ressler must combat his addiction. At the end he strikes out at the people who support him but soon realizes how important they are. Cooper gets threatened further and explains to Red while not explaining.

Blacklist writers finally seemed to have watched The Bridge
anupmahindre3 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The Bridge, which is a superior suspense/thriller series seems to have a big influence on this episode.

Overall a good one with a few nice scenes with Spader.

Please just stop the Keen sob story nonsense
arundm-072762 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I'm seriously, the bloody wild goose chase and continued persistence with miserable Keen's sob story rubbish is not only immensely annoying but it's literally killing the show's success.

Moreover, Reddington's character is massively blunted from this mindless pursue. From once every two shows the bloody sob story frequency has been increased to tds in a single show. (Tds is 3x for those not familiar with pharmacy terms).

Munchausen by proxy theme seem quite unrealistic but good job fitting the entire thing within 60 minutes which isn't necessarily good for the show overall.

Good to Donald Dick's acting and character improving.... I was worried it was degenerating into Keen 2.0. Thankfully not.

I want to see more action involving Reddington's body guard the South American chick with God know why she has an Asian sounding name.

Do the writers know South America and Asia are two entirely different continents separated by the largest ocean on Earth. Geez!

Seems like the show has not passed the "first gear" this whole season with the occasional "second gear" expected thrills. Already episode 14.

Reason : Sob story narrative of miserable Keen.

Maybe should get Dr. Max Goodwin from New Amsterdam for the rest of the season. Could be Tom's long lost twin brother or something. Lol!

Overall 6/10, just passed. Low rating due to Keen's sob story garbage.

A well put together episode with a happy ending!!
tanzimkh2 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
In this episode Cynthia Panabaker approached Reddington for a help, which she would never asked if not for the circumstances; her daughter-in-law has been kidnapped and was fond by two campers in a forest area. The victim immediately when to a coma because of which Panabaker came to Reddington to find the people involved in this kidnapping. The taskforce started investigating and came to know few other victims who all are linked to a fund raising program (the fund raising program was for the children who has various medical complicacy and conditions). The task force was eventually able to find the location where the victims where kept and to their surprise every one of them started growing medical complicacies similar to their children. They were successful in capturing one of the perpetrator but wasn't able to make her talk.

Panabaker took the perpetrator to Reddington and by the help of his associate, the perpetrator started talking. According to the lady involved in the kidnapping told that, the mothers who she kidnapped where intentionally making their kids sick (also known as Munchausen syndrome by proxy) and that they were trying to keep the children safe from their mentally sick mothers. The confession came true.

Reddington is still investigating the microchip found in Agent keen's body and in one scene we were also able to see the loving father figure in Reddington. He has found a lead on the microchip and now planning to find the person who initially funded the microchip for medical use a few years back.

The episode ended with the taskforce team celebrates Ressler's 2 month on getting involved in any addiction. I actually like loved this ending and it shows how strong the taskforce team is now since the start of Season 9. It has been quite a long time since the task force could enjoy a breath of fresh air and enjoying environment. But I am still disappointed with Ressler's stupid behavior in the show and want to see his back on being Agent Ressler again.

It was a good episode and loved every moment of it.

Boring and inaccurate
lindabellcrandall2 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Been watching since the start and the content has been getting stale. Writers need to fact check things before they write about them, one example is the medication gun. The US military was using a similar device back in the late 1960's. I remember seeing pictures of my brothers getting immunizations with them when they were in boot camp.
