Jesse Helms stops to interview Seymour Redfield and looks at a pistol sitting on a bureau. Redfield tells Hellms the pistol is a Cold Peacemaker 45 Long Colt cartridge revolver. The pistol is clearly either a Remington New Model Navy .36 caliber or a New Model Army .44 caliber muzzle loading revolver. The Remington revolver preceded the Colt revolver by about ten years.
This is not a "muzzle loading pistol", it is a Cap and Ball Revolver. It may be a .38 or .46 rimfire or a .38 centerfire as it has been converted to take cartridges, but it IS NOT a "Peacemaker" as that was the 1873 Colt Single Action Army Pistol.
When Duke Donovan escapes from the prison, just outside of it, he can be seen for two seconds scene wearing a contemporary watch on his wrist, then it disappears in the following scene.
When Jesse Helms enters the home of Seymour Redfield, the light switch plate on the wall to the left side (from camera view) of the double entry doors is modern construction. No such switches existed in 1920.
