Plot

The four remaining teams travel from Zermatt, Switzerland to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where a hairy situation causes several people to cry out in pain. The final three teams then travel to the Florida Keys, where the first team to finish has to overcome some past demons and tough competition in order to win the US$1 million prize.—Allister Coots

Open with everyone leaving from Switzerland and being told they are to fly to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and take a tram to world famous steps called Escadaria Selaron.

Flight Time & Big Easy get a train to Zurich scheduled to leave at 7:39am. Like the Globetrotters, Kisha & Jen were eliminated at this stage in their season. Gary & Mallory and Zev & Justin get on the same train as the first two teams.

In Zurich teams work on travel arrangements for Rio. Flight Time & Big Easy and Zev & Justin get tickets arriving in Brazil the next morning at 7:30. Kisha & Jen and Gary & Mallory are booking arrangements with a travel agent to land much later but when the Globetrotters come and hear their time Mallory realizes something is up. Ultimately all four teams get on the same flight.

In Rio they race to taxis. Kisha & Jen are the first team to get to the tram, followed closely by Zev & Justin. The first three teams make it on the same tram. The Gloebtrotters are moments too late (due primarily to a slow cabbie) and will have to wait 30 minutes for the next trip.

On the steps Zev & Justin are the first team to locate a route marker tile and see that teams are to head for Largo de Sao Francisco da Prainha, where they will look for their next clue near Rua Sacadura Cabral. Gary & Mallory and Kisha & Jen are just behind.

The Globetrotters finally get on the tram.

Zev & Justin are the first team to get the next clue and read about this week's Road Block. One team member will learn to dance the Samba and lead a dance troupe on a parade through the streets. Once a judge deems their dancing up to par they receive the next clue. Zev must perform the challenge as he only has four Road Blocks under his belt. He seems to be struggling with keeping the rhythm.

Gary & Mallory arrive and pick Mallory. She seems right at home.

Kisha and Jen seem to have been dropped off at the wrong location by their cab driver. They get in another cab.

The Globetrotters find their route tile on the steps.

Mallory has the dance figured out almost instantly, while Zev seems totally lost.

Mallory is given the thumb's up on her first try and is given the next clue: Teams are to make their way to Copacabana by taxi and find a specific salon.

Zev is giving a 'no' by the judge on his first attempt, just as Kisha & Jen arrive. Kisha is chosen.

Gary & Mallory find the salon and read that every team member (male and female) must endure a 15-minute body-waxing procedure before receiving their next clue. Father and daughter start their waxing.

Zev gets a 'no' on his second attempt. Kisha, meanwhile, gets approved on her first attempt. With Zev still struggling the Globetrotters arrive and pick Big Easy to perform the samba.

Gary & Mallory finish their wax and learn about this week's Detour: On the Rocks or One the Beach. In Rocks, teams make their way to a bar and learn how to make Brazil's national cocktail, the caipirinha. Once they've made 100 acceptable caipirinhas they will get the next clue. In Beach, teams must sell bikini tops on the Copacabana beach. They must get every customer to model their new top using a portable changing room. The leg is completed when they've made the equivalent of $60. Gary & Mallory select Rocks.

Big Easy starts working on the Road Block and seems to have no trouble. Zev is still floundering. Somehow Zev is finally given a 'yes' from the judge, while Big Easy flubs part of the dance and is gets a 'no' on his first attempt. With Zev & Justin on the road Big Easy nails his second attempt and the Globetrotters move on.

Gary & Mallory are taught how to make the caipirinha. They both seem to have trouble with the order of making the drink.

Kisha & Jen start their body waxing.

Zev & Justin have trouble with their directions to the Copacabana salon and allow Flight Time & Big Easy to catch them and move into third. The Globetrotters start their waxing.

Kisha & Jen finish their wax and pick Rocks. Flight Time & Big Easy are just after them and also select Rocks.

Zev & Justin finally get to the salon. They are unfortunately much hairier than the other teams.

Kisha & Jen start their bartending, followed just a few minutes by the Globetrotters. Gary & Mallory have a 30-drink lead on the those two teams.

Zev & Justin finally finish their waxing and select Beach. Zev & Justin are having trouble finding women willing to both purchase and model a suit.

Gary & Mallory maintain their 30-cocktail lead over Kisha & Jen, with the Globetrotters about ten behind them. Gary & Mallory are the first team to finish the Detour and read that team must now make their to way across town to the Pit Stop, Rio's Museum of Contemporary Art. The last team to check in will be eliminated.

Zev & Justin decide to give up on selling bikinis and move to the other half of the Detour.

Gary & Mallory reach Phil first and win the leg. He tells them they are one of three teams racing to the finish line and they are awarded a cruise.

Kisha & Jen finish the Detour just as Zev & Justin arrive. They start making drinks with the Globetrotters only 25 away from completing the Detour.

Kisha & Jen finish the leg in second place.

Flight Time & Big Easy finish their Detour and make their way to the Pit Stop. Zev & Justin finish their 100th cocktails and drink one themselves.

We see the Globetrotters reach and Phil. He tells them they have made the top-3 this season.

Zev & Justin realize their fate as they reach Phil. They are eliminated from the race.

The second hour begins with Gary & Mallory reading that teams must fly to their final destination: Miami, Florida. When they land they must make their way to the Rickenbacker Marina to find their next clue. Mallory is well aware that no parent-child team has ever won the race.

Kisha & Jen depart for the airport, followed soon after by the Globetrotters.

Gary & Mallory get their tickets on the first flight out of Rio. Kisha & Jen and Flight Time & Big Easy also get tickets. They seem to all be arriving at the same time.

In Miami they get cabs and head for the marina. Gary & Mallory have issues getting a cab and drop to third.

Kisha & Jen get to Rickenbacker just steps ahead of Flight Time & Big Easy and both teams read about this week's Road Block. One team member must learn how to operate a forklift designed to move boats into dry dock. Once they have successfully placed a boat on its dock they will receive their next clue. Kisha and Flight Time are selected and get a crash course in how to operate the machine.

Gary & Mallory's driver seems not to know where there are headed and grabs his phone.

Kisha lifts her boat from the water with no issues and has a slight lead on Flight Time.

Mallory is panicking, as it seems their driver is lost.

Flight Time finishes the Road Block first and the Globetrotters get the next clue. Teams must head to Key Largo and find their next clue at the Jules Undersea Lodge. Kisha finishes soon after the Globetrotters cab leaves the marina.

Gary & Mallory's cab driver still has no idea where to go. They pull over and get directions. Eventually they find the marina and Gary is selected to tackle the Road Block. Mallory tells us they have forklifts at their home.

Flight Time & Big Easy reach the lodge in first place and read about another Road Block. The other team member must take a person submarine known as a bob dive and navigate underwater until their find a chest containing the next clue. Big Easy heads inside just as Kisha & Jen arrive and we flash back to the issues Jen has had with water in the past. Big Easy and Jen start looking for their chest.

Gary finishes his Road Block without incident and they head for Key Largo. Mallory is trying desperately to stay positive on their way.

Big Easy is the first to find the clue. They read a clue that seems to be a riddle telling teams to next find a mile marker 29 at Big Pine Key.

Jen fins her clue. The Globetrotters walk outside and see their taxi has left them. In the scramble to find directions from a local resident Kisha & Jen take the lead.

Gary & Mallory read the lodge and Mallory sprints to her bob dive.

Kisha & Jen get to the mile marker first and read the next clue. It instructs team to walk across a shallow section of the ocean to Horseshoe Island. Under the tallest tree on the island will be the next clue. The Globetrotters seem to be a few minutes behind them.

Kisha & Jen get to the clue on the island first and read that teams must return to the mainland and take a high-speed boat to Galway Bay Mobile Home Park. Kisha & Jen sneak past the Globetrotters on their way out. Flight Time & Big Easy find the clue quickly.

Mallory finally reaches her clue. Their driver does not know where Big Pine Key is located.

Kisha & Jen get on their boat just as the Globetrotters reach the mainland. Gary & Mallory find their next clue and walk across the ocean. The Globetrotters seem to still be just a few minutes behind Kisha & Jen. Gary & Mallory find the clue under the tallest tree and head back.

Kisha & Jen reach the next clue and read about the next challenge. Teams must chose a small trailer, wheel their mobile home to vacancy and re-create the decorative set-up from a picture before getting their next clue. Jen & Kisha head out with their trailer still with a slight lead on the Globetrotters.

Gary & Mallory take their high-speed boat ride.

Flight Time & Big Easy and Kisha & Jen are having trouble battling high winds in the park.

Gary & Malloy reach the park and grab their trailer.

Kisha & Jen's first attempt is not approved. We are shown that their condiments do not appear to be in the correct order. The Globetrotters also are told their first set-up is incorrect.

Gary & Mallory reach their plot and see that the other two teas are still working on the challenge.

Kisha & Jen's second attempt is turned down and they seem to realize what they are missing. The judge approves their third attempt. They read they are next to head by taxi for the Finish Line at Seven-Mile Bridge.

Flight Time & Big Easy still can't get their set-up to match the brochure. They finally realize their table was also incorrect and are given the next clue.

Kisha & Jen reach Seven-Mile Bridge and grab bicycles. Flight Time & Big Easy are a few minutes behind them. Kisha & Jen are having issues with their bikes and the wind and it seems as if the Globetrotters are gaining on them.

Gary & Mallory's first attempt at re-creating the mobile home brochure is approved.

Jen is now running alongside her bike because of the wind. But Flight Time looks ahead and says to the Big Easy that the girls are too far ahead to be caught.

We see Kisha & Jen run past all of this year's contestants and reach Phil. He tells them they have won this year's race. It is the second time in Amazing Race history that an all-female team has won the race. It is the first time this season they have come in first place during a leg. They emotionally tell Phil they plan to use the money to help their mother start up a business.

The Globetrotters finish in second place and Gary & Mallory reach Phil in third. We are shown vignettes of both team's season. All of the teams join Phil for a group shot.
