Alexander Skarsgård, Elliot Page, and Brit Marling in The East (2013)

Goofs

The East

Edit

Continuity

When Jane sneaks away from the people on the beach while they are still sleeping, she takes a pair of their shoes and leaves her sandals in their place, she also takes one of their bicycles. In the next scene she is riding the bicycle she took, but she is still wearing her sandals.

Factual errors

In the scene where they found a deer that was killed and left behind by a hunter they refer to the deer as "she" all throughout the scene, but if you look at the shot that shows the deer's head the deer has small antlers. Since female deer don't have antlers so they should have been referring to it as "he".
When the dead deer is brought back to camp, it's clearly a buck because of its antlers meaning it's a male. Several of the group members refer to the deer as "her" or "she".

Crew or equipment visible

As Doc explains his history in the car, a large white rectangular movie light is reflected in his glasses.

Character error

Doc glues shut the cut on Sarah's arm without washing it out at all.
