Learn more- A night after the dancers put their hearts and souls on the floor with dances to songs that were personally meaningful to them, it was time to send one couple packing.
Here's a look back at the leader board as it stood after Monday's performances:
Hines & Kym: 25
Petra & Dmitry: 25
Chelsea & Mark: 23
Kendra & Louis: 23
Chris & Cheryl: 21
Kirstie & Maks: 21
Ralph & Karina: 21
Romeo & Chelsie: 20
Sugar Ray & Anna: 20
Wendy & Tony: 15
Play it again...: Head judge Len Goodman asked to see Hines & Kym's celebratory samba, which Hines dedicated to his mother, for the encore. But before they took to the floor, host Tom Bergeron broke the good news that they're safe.
To the results: Sugar Ray & Anna and Romeo & Chelsie are the next pair to learn their fates. Sugar Ray was proud of his comeback performance and Romeo took a step back, in Len's opinion. The first couple safe is Sugar Ray & Anna. Romeo & Chelsie are also safe.
Be our guest: Grammy nominees One Republic pay a visit to perform their new single, "Good Life." Later, Selena Gomez performs her song, "Who Says?" Finally, One Republic returns later in the show to do their song, "All the Right Moves."
Stumblegate: Brooke Burke grills Kirstie and Maks backstage about what happened the night before when Maks took a tumble during their performance. The questioning comes complete with subtitled footage of what they said to each other as Maks momentary injury occurred, but they didn't want to talk about it much, instead laughing it off.
Back to the results: Petra & Dmitry and Wendy & Tony are the next to learn where they stand. The next couple safe is Petra & Dmitry. Wendy & Tony, who were at the bottom of the leader board, are in jeopardy.
We next get a feature in which the dancers took video cameras with them to share more of their lives when they aren't on the show. We learn that the ones with kids like to take video of their kids, and Chris Jericho has to wake up at 4:30 a.m., for unknown reasons.
After the behind-the-scenes videos, Chelsea & Mark and Kendra & Louis learn where they stand. Kendra got emotional after her dance because of the frustration over the amount of smoke coming out of the fog machine that made her lose her way at the start of her routine. Tom reports that the smoke machine "is now doing regional theater." The next couple safe is Chelsea & Mark. Kendra & Louis are still in jeopardy.
Chris & Cheryl, Ralph & Karina and Kirstie & Maks get their news next. We get more reaction from Kirstie & Maks after their fall, and they laughed it off Monday night, as well, with Maks joking that he intentionally pulled her down with him. The next couple safe is Ralph & Karina. Kirstie & Maks are also safe. Chris & Cheryl are still in jeopardy.
Wendy & Tony, Kendra & Louis, and Chris & Cheryl await their fates. The first of the three couples safe is Kendra & Tony. That leaves Wendy & Tony and Chris & Cheryl, though they aren't necessarily the bottom two.
Len says he's enjoyed Wendy's story of how far she's come and that Chris has great potential.
Finally, the couple with the lowest vote and score total and leaving in Week 2 is Wendy & Tony.
