Malory Archer is "commissioned" to write a sequel to Mandingo (1975) titled "Mandingo 2: The Enslavening". Drum (1976) is the actual sequel.
When Archer is in the command center, the "Hobbit enthusiast" tells him that, "The KGB is going to shoot this guy" but on the wall map, the USSR is already shown to have dissolved (separate states are shown and the title "Russia" is used), which is the same time that the KGB also was dissolved/renamed.
