At 46.19, as a police car chases the train by road, the automatic half-barrier level crossing gates are not down across the road and audible warning and red flashing lights are not in operation, enabling the police car to enter the crossing and be destroyed by collision with the train. These barriers are automatically operated by the train passing a trigger point a long distance away and the train driver cannot disable this automatic operation.
During the film, the passengers discover that they are traveling in a diesel-powered train. At the end of the movie, the train catches fire and there is a large explosion of fuel that destroys the train. How can diesel explode? Diesel fuel is non-flammable. Diesel ignition requires high temperature and pressure. The explosion shown in the movie is unreal.
While the train is moving, passengers use the brake at the rear of the train to try to stop the train. The train slows down, but then speeds up again. The brakes were damaged due to friction. So is not possible that after disconnecting the wagons, the same damaged brake suddenly works properly again and the train stops.
Jan says he is Polish, but the Israeli actor clearly intonates a Russian, not Polish accent.
When the passengers investigate the other end of the train they accidentally activate the train's horn. A few minutes later as the train is about to speed through the railway station (hitting the car) they don't use the horn to warn the people outside.
When Jan is about to climb out the speeding train to try to unhook the cars, Lewis warns him about the wind chill he will experience at 70 mph, yet both Lewis and Sarah take turns sticking their heads out the window to see his progress and they show no effects of the cold.
