The Lyn/Summer storyline looks like it could be going somewhere interesting but, after one tantrum from Summer that quickly devolves into self-pity, we get a saccharine sweet scene about a family that aren't actually related to each other and who should be living with their long forgotten father and a moment of irony from Lyn about what a nice girl Summer supposedly is.Susan stopping Karl from sitting with her and Lyn when they're having a private chat is a nicely played moment though, the "Karl as butt of jokes" idea is being used a bit better lately.
There's some nice stuff with Lucas that reminds us of his ongoing plot line.Toadie finally gets to take Jade down a peg or two by showing that she's a worse loser than he is, although she does kind of end up getting the last laugh as a result of his and Callum's typically poor diet. The twist of Sonya and Jade's grandmother dying is a nice way of bringing the question of Sonya's tie to Callum back to the fore, although it does threaten to raise a few awkward continuity questions.
