Nice Interview with the Infamous Director

Emmanuelle Forever (2007)

You'll find this David Gregory featurette with the 1976 film LAURE, which is a pretty bland Emmanuelle wannabe that doesn't have too much going for it. Producer and co-director Ovidio Assonitis sits down for a 16-minute interview that goes over the history of the film from its early production stages up to the time it was eventually released. I guess the biggest news is the discussion of DEEP THROAT star Linda Lovelace being cast in the lead but eventually being fired for her drug use and for refusing to do any nudity (WTF?!?!). Also discussed is the 18-year-old Anne Belle who ended up getting the part as well as Al Cliver who played the boyfriend in the film. Other stories include shooting in the Phillippines and how rebels had to be used to get cast members to certain areas where people normally weren't allowed. All in all this is an interesting interview with the laid-back producer who has plenty of stories to share. I personally didn't care too much for the film in question so that might have kept some of my interest cut short but if you're a fan of the film then you should have most questions answered here as there's plenty of detail on the making of the film.
