Little Chrysia -- now at Pathe and under a new character name -- gets hired by a woman who keeps berating the help until they quit. Eyes agog, she is dragged along for the marketing, with everything thrown into a basket with no bottom
Little Chrysia had a nice little career in silents in the early teens, moving about from France to Italy to England under various names -- the characters belonged to the studios, and so when the performer moved on, she got a new name. Here, as Zoe, she has an expression that is half bafflement and half terror, which is appropriate considering her employer is a burly cross-dresser.
While Little Chrysia could be very funny, this short is too repetitive to be top notch.
