Alex Brendemühl in The German Doctor (2013)

Goofs

The German Doctor

Edit

Continuity

When Eva does the translation on the sheet of paper, her writing appears on the top fold of the paper, but in the next scene, it is well below the fold.

Factual errors

The film is set in 1960 but the blue car Doctor Mengele drives is a 1966 Impala.

Revealing mistakes

The CG hydroplane landing is poorly executed. There is no flare to speak of. The plane slams in the water, and leaves no wake. Also, the physics of flight in the final scene is poor, giving the scene a somewhat cartoonish vibe and spoiling what should be a fairly climactic ending. I wonder why the budget didn't allow for a real plane shot, can't be that expensive.
The Chevy Impala that the doctor drives appears to be a new or nearly-new car, but the driver's door has a substantial squeak.

Anachronisms

The film is set in the year 1960, but the four-door Chevrolet Impala he drives throughout the film appears to be a 1965 or later model.
The song, "Lady Sunshine und Mr. Moon", was released in 1962, but the film is set in 1960.
