Rose is new to Brighton. She is leaving something relatively unpleasant (but not specifically explained) behind her and is seeking to create a new life for herself and although naturally shy, she manages to strike up conversations and burgeoning friendships with a pleasant mix of people – homeless Joe, barman Harry, half-naked housemate Kyle and underpants wearing launderette user Carlos. Over the course of a few days she chats with them, plays music to them and mingles at parties, whilst trying to feel at home in a lovely but unfamiliar city.

Danny (Joe Rainbow) has just been dumped by his girlfriend and has taken it badly. After toying with suicide he decides to try to rescue Katie (Anna Cox) who is being treated more than a little roughly by a random bloke, following her attempts to get away from her aggressive and cruel boyfriend Alex (Bruce Lawrence). The attempted rescue ends badly and as Katie patches Danny up back at her home, they begin to connect before Alex turns up and everything gets more than a little complicated.

There's a slew of potential new horror-related TV pilot's to look forward to this year. And one of them is definitely CW's 'The Awakening'. The mix of teens and apocalyptic zombie fun sounds pretty darn intriguing to say the least. And now 'Royal Pains' star Meredith Hagner and British actress Lucy Griffiths - below ('Robin Hood', and will be seen soon in Jamie Patterson's new horror 'Billboard') have been announced as two of the show's stars. They'll play sisters in the new pilot currently shooting in Toronto under the expert eye of director David Von Ancken ('The Vampire Diaries').
