I'd love to review this. Sadly, the BBC is run by utter idiots. Who wanted to save a few pennies for their excessive expense claims for themselves and their chums. So the BBC library destroyed the tapes! Shame on them. Forever!! Oh, well. I can look at the Radio Times. And dream. That it's still really the afternoon of December 1st, 1968. Otherwise, i will be feeling very up tight! We shall all miss this Johnny Harris Special featuring guest stars Lulu, Georgie Fame, Una Stubbs and the Douglas Squires Dancers. Not jazz exactly or straight pop. Just a powerful mixture that can bring an audience to its feet from Johnny Harris, one of the country's most brilliant young arranger-conductors, who presents for the first time his own television band show, together with some of the artists who have appeared with him on record.
