Extraordinary Adventure of Kindergarten Kids
ebiros212 January 2013
There's some real creative juice in the part of producers of this movie. Five kindergarten kids decides to go to see their terminally ill friend for the last time, and ditches from their kindergarten without adult supervision.

It's not clear what the real ages of the kids that played the parts of the five kids, but they're small enough to pass as kindergarten kids. They use their ingenuity to figure out their way to the hospital that house their friend, while encountering various adventures on their way.

The real eye opener is how they perform every task an adult would in the same situation. They have knowledge beyond their age obtained from various sources. Definitely these kids are listening to what the adults around them are talking about, and making every detail their knowledge. At few point the story gets unnecessarily spooky, but asides from that, the story is flawless in every aspect

The extraordinary courage, and love they show for their fallen friend touches the heart.

Director Nobuo Mizuta shows talent in the caliber of Hirokazu Koreeda, and writer Yuji Sakamoto wrote one of a kind story. I will be looking for their movies in the future.

The talent and actors gathered to make this movie goes way beyond that of regular TV movie, and is highly recommended for viewing.
