The Pathe Hen
boblipton8 February 2022
A man takes an enormous egg, cracks it, and out steps a full-grown hen. He then performs various magic tricks with it.

Movies like these were common at this time, impelled by the success of Melies and the surprisingly large number of movie makers who had been stage magicians. The tricks on exhibit here are well done, but they are of the stop-motion variety: stop the camera, change the set-up, and a transformation occurs. Still and all, they are well done.
