The bartender tells Willie that smoking is not allowed in that establishment, yet there are ashtrays on the bar.

In Bad Santa (2003), Willie mentioned in his letter to Thurman that he's gonna be a sensitivity counselor. But in this movie. He's working at a store and then gets hired as Santa again. However, he might've been fired.

When Willie and his mom are talking in her apartment for the first time, her right bra strap goes from on her shoulder, to off her shoulder, and back and forth when the view changes to a view of Willie or a view of her.

Marcus and Willie post pics on Instagram of themselves "tea-bagging" one another. Instagram would never allow photos of any type of nudity.

After Willie and Diane have their get together in the Christmas tree lot, while driving, Diane turns onto a street and parks. Her vehicle has only the daytime running lights on. Laws throughout the U.S. require moving vehicles to have their full set of lights on when being operated on public roads.

The film's story takes place less than a week before Christmas, but Sunny is shown watching TV from a toilet because she doesn't want to miss the finale of "The Bachelor." A fall edition of "The Bachelor" has not aired since 2007, and whenever it was on in the fall, the finale was in late November. In fact, "The Bachelor" has never aired in December.

At the end of the movie. Willie gets revenge by taking pictures of "tea bagging" Marcus and post on Instagram. Willie's cell phone looks like it's from the mid 2000's. He wouldn't have the ability to post pictures on Instagram from a cell phone like that.

The movie takes place in Chicago but when the police were searching for Willie and Sunny. A police officer is heard shouting "LAPD".

After Diane drops off Willie a Canada Post truck drives by which would not operate in USA.
