A Chinese man driving a sports-car reported stolen by the man who rented it dies in a police-chased crash, carrying a box containing a recently-severed head. His last words, "Ming Hua," turn out to be the name of his pre-teen son; Han Chi's own father, a mechanic, admits they are all illegal immigrants. The team finds that the decapitation is part of an elaborate blackmail to extort $5,000,000 from the victim's rich father-in-law Robert Rovin, with nasty twists.
