What I do like about "Regular Show" is the fact that it reminds me a lot some of my favorite cartoons from the nineties, such as "Ren & Stimpy" and "Rocko's Modern Life", capture the essence of what made those animations so great and special: The surreal sense of humor, the strange but interesting characters, and the unpredictability of the stories of each chapter, which were able to combine in a marvelous way the weirdest situations with elements from everyday life, presenting them from an unique and fascinating perspective.
This episode is the kind of stuff that would have been done in any of those crazy (yet wonderful) cartoons from the nineties: Other "wacky" and tamed cartoons from the recent years would have been afraid to show some kind of similar material, probably considering it way too "edgy" for the children.
Fortunately, "Regular Show" isn't one of those cartoons. In a time filled with so many tamed, bland and forgettable television shows, is good to have at least one animated series with the spirit of the crazy animations from the nineties.
