![They're Not Green a feature documentary by Nettie Pena
For over 25 years the Wind Power Industry, the Wind Power Lobbyists, and U.S. Politicians have promoted ‘Wind Power’ as "Clean and Green”. The color of green looms large in this equation, but it is the color of money, not clean air. This thoroughly researched documentary examines: wind power, its environmental effects and CO2 emissions, the difference between wind energy capacity and wind energy generation, and how tax subsidies have influenced the wind industry for decades. ‘They’re Not Green’ takes you through the wind industry in California, where it began, and the expansion of wind turbines through out the U.S. ‘Wind Power’ is the most highly U.S. Federal Subsidized form of electrical energy and the least productive.
They’re Not Green is a feature length documentary film that raises questions about the long term environmental impact of building wind turbines in the fragile deserts of California. Peña risks going against commonly held beliefs about the reliability, cost and hazards of wind power while she also examines who stands to benefit from their expansion and more importantly, who will pay the price. Her findings will surprise and should be voiced as this nation looks for alternative ways to reduce our carbon footprint.
The documentary reveals years of documentation by biologists, electrical engineers, meteorologists, environmentalists, and physicists who demonstrate that wind turbines produce little reliable energy but cost billions of dollars to tax payers. A physician documented how “Wind Turbine” syndrome caused many human illnesses such as vertigo, migraines, and seizures for those people who live near the turbines. Each concrete base for each wind turbine produces 250,000 pounds of CO2. Each 125 foot blade, is made or fiberglass and resins that cannot be broken down, they are not bio degradable. Groups of citizens are protesting the installation of wind turbines around the world.](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/M/MV5BMTQyMjUyNTMzM15BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMDQ5ODkwNA@@._V1_QL75_UX500_CR0,47,500,281_.jpg)
