Astra uses magic to duplicate the bags, and Gideon comes in and says that Evil Gideon is letting them go home, because they're all retiring.

Spooner figures Evil Gideon will eventually send evil robots after them, Gary and Gideon go to the bridge and tell Evil Gideon that the Legends don't want to retire, and figure Evil Gideon will try to kill them. The AI admits that she will, and Gary suggests Evil Gideon show the Legends their futures where they're alive, proving it doesn't kill them. Evil Gideon warns that revealing someone's future could cause irreparable damage to the timeline, but Gideon points out that Evil Gideon being stuck in the temporal zone forever could be causing more damage.
In the lab, the Legends discuss a plan and Ava has a courier. Behrad remembers seeing a charging station in the armory, and Sarah figures they have a plan. They figure that Spooner is small enough to get through the vents to the armory. Meanwhile, Spooner gets above the armory and uses the looping device. She can't get the grille open, and warns the others via comms that she'll need time. Astra uses a spell to assume Spooner's form and goes to the bridge.
Spooner drops into the armory, trying to keep as quiet as possible.
Gideon tells "Spooner" that she goes back to 1925 and starts a clinic with her mother, Gloria. When Gideon admits that Spooner will be separated from her friends, "Spooner" clearly isn't enthused.
When Spooner puts the courier in the charger, it sets of an alarm. Evil Gideon shuts the armory door before Astra and Gideon can get in, and opens the outer hatch. Astra threatens to blast the door open so they'll be sucked out, including Gideon. Evil Gideon realizes that she can't kill Spooner, and closes the hatch.
Gideon calls a meeting and says that she thought they all wanted to go home. Sarah and Ava argue, and Gideon says that they have to compromise. Gideon realizes that she has to be Evil Gideon's captain, and says that per Time Master's protocol, there always has to be one captain and one AI.
The Legends discuss Gideon's offer, figuring it has to be a team decision. They differ on whether they should accept the plan or not, and Gary points out that they can trust Gideon. Zari wonders if they're going to stop being Legends, and Sarah figures that for the timeline they have to stop.
Gideon swears the Time Masters oath, and the Legends celebrate their retirement with a party, and they sign their contracts. Astra glares at her contract, and tells Spooner that there's no point in making friends if they can't see them. Spooner has the key to the manor, and Astra magically duplicates it so they can all have a key and hang out in the manor without breaking their contracts. Ava and Zari figure they'll charge the courier, jump to 1925, and Zari will create a dust storm to conceal Ava taking Alun from the enemy attack and saving him so he can be with Gwyn. Zari has an idea to go to the bathroom where there's a hair dryer, and use its charger to charge the courier. Gwyn comes in and Ava tells him their plan. He thanks them but says that the risk is too late and he won't let them lose their future. He says that they've him.
Gideon arrives with Alun, and Gwyn talks to his lover privately. Gwyn says that their squad died and Alun along with them, but he invented time travel to save him. Gwyn says that he always wanted that, where they can be themselves. Alun says that he will always be himself, and Gwyn is an odd, beautiful man.

He says that he doesn't but needs some time to think and walks off. Gary admits that he's not cut out for the kind of decisions that Gideon will have to make.
Evil Gideon tells Gary that he's torn between love and hate, and tells Gideon that she made the right decision. Gideon wishes Gary saw it that way, while Gary tells Evil Gideon that love is complicated because people are complicated. Evil Gideon tells him that the timeline must be protected by logic, not emotion, and if he loves Gary, then he should leave.
Gideon says that she doesn't want to choose between Gary and her job, and Evil Gideon says that Gideon must choose.
Gary says that he's staying because Gideon needs someone to advocate for love. He runs out to the armory where Gideon is, and the door closes behind him. Evil Gideon ejects him into space, saying his infatuation with love is too great a risk to the timeline.
Evil Gideon tells Gideon that Gary has left the timeship, and Gideon figures that it's for the best.
At the manor, Gwyn takes Alun to the former's time machine. Gwyn says that he vowed to move heaven and earth to save his Alun, and then pulls out the robot's CPU and says that he's coming for the real Alun.
