Focusing particularly on boat builder Nat Benjamin, Kusama-Hinte observes the painstaking and quiet work involved in building such an elegant craft over the several years required. In doing so, he eschews many of today’s accepted documentary strategies — pinning narrative on conflict,...

"Charlotte" is a film about an extraordinary boatyard, the Gannon & Benjamin Marine Railway, located on the island of Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. Ross Gannon and Nat Benjamin established the boatyard in 1980 with the purpose of designing, building, and maintaining traditionally built wooden boats, and in the process they transformed Vineyard Haven harbor into a mecca for wooden boat owners and enthusiasts. Emily and David have been seeing each other nonstop this summer now that she and Brad have called it quits — but will this hurt her chances of becoming the next ‘Bachelorette’?
Emily Maynard, 24, definitely has a type: a Nascar boy! HollywoodLife.com has just spoken to a source close to Emily who tells us that she and David Smith, son of billionaire Speedway Motorsports owner Bruton Smith, are officially a couple and their whole town of Charlotte, Nc., is talking about it!
“Emily has been spending quite a bit of time with David,” our source says. “She’s with him constantly and she’s gotten really close to his family. Emily thinks that he could be the one.”
We told you back in May that Emily broke up with Bachelor Brad Womack because of David — and it turns out her feelings are stronger than ever. Emily went to a wedding...

No love triangle exists between Emily, Brad and her ex-boyfriend, an insider tells HollywoodLife.com! The three are actually friends who all go out together when Brad visits Emily Charlotte!
Good news! Emily Maynard has not been running around on Bachelor Brad Womack with her ex boyfriend, automotive executive David Smith. “Emily is a goody good girl,” a source very close to David tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
“When she was engaged, Brad, Emily, close friends and David all went out one night. I know they are friends,” the source says.
Emily and David “dated before but that’s no secret … ” continues the insider. “They broke up a really long time ago! I mean way before the show.”
Emily and David have remained friends — and only friends — since she got back from filming The Bachelor. “As of now, I know that they update each other occasionally over the phone,” says the source.

Emily keeps calling it quits with Brad — is it because she’s been seeing another guy behind his back?
Is Emily Maynard leading Bachelor Brad Womack to even more heartache? When Emily returned home to Charlotte, N.C. in January after Bachelor filming ended, she reportedly was dating her ex-boyfriend, automotive exec David Smith, according to In Touch magazine.
“Without telling Dave exactly what happened, she gave him the impression that she didn’t win,” Dave’s buddy Sam Yaravitz says. “He’s not the kind of guy who would date a woman who’s engaged to another man. And I’m prety sure Brad doesn’t know about him, either.”
Emily first met Dave years ago through her fiance Ricky Hendrick, who was killed in a 2004 plane crash. But they started seriously dating prior to Emily going on The Bachelor. “They were dating exclusively and were intimate right up...
