Production shut down for months over a months long labor dispute. The NYC based electric and grip crew and shop steward were fired when they held the producers to their written consent to pay them per their NYC union contract. Unit production manager Randol Perelman Taylor, as well as producer Lorenzo O'Brien violated the crews Weingarten rights and repeatedly denied their agreement to the contract (despite documented written evidence). The producers leaked the story to the press in an effort to smear the NYC crew members as "uncooperative" and "entitled".
