Toulouse, rue Alsace-Lorraine (1896)
This actuality film from the Lumiere Brothers takes place on a street. The camera is basically placed on the street and we see a couple street cars (being led by horses) pull up, let people on and then take off again. If you're a fan of these early actuality films then you already know not to expect any sort of plot or anything like that. The benefit of watching them today is the fact that you get to see how life was once and that's where the main interest comes from. You get to see a street car from 1896 and you get to see the type of clothing that people were wearing. Obviously this isn't anything ground-breaking but it's fun to watch.
