Richard E. Grant, Rosamund Pike, Richie Cotterell, Alison Oliver, Barry Keoghan, Archie Madekwe, and Jacob Elordi in Saltburn (2023)

Goofs

Saltburn

Edit

Continuity

In the final scene, Oliver passes a motorbike in one of the rooms. In the same scene he loops back into the same room, but the bike is covered with a cloth.
The character Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan) is supposed to be Scouse. However the actor's natural Irish accent comes through when he says "What kind of party" and "a hundred?" at approximately 58:59 and 59:04 minutes.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

The film takes place in the summer of 2007, but the characters are seen watching Superbad (2007), which wasn't released in the UK until September 2007. However, in an interview with Emerald Fennell, she said she was fully aware of the release dates and said Elspeth was friends with someone in the British film industry who would have access to a copy of the film before its official release.
In the first pub scene when Oliver is distracted, which seemingly takes place Spring 2006, No Cars Go by Arcade Fire can be heard playing in the background.

While the single wasn't released until August 2007, the track appeared on Arcade Fire's Neon Bible album, which was released in March 2007. The pub scene takes place sometime between Christmas and Summer 2007.

Anachronisms

When Oliver is looking out of the window of his accommodation at the group in which Felix is stood in the beginning, the girl wearing Juicy Couture sweatpants is wearing a newer rhinestone design that wasn't introduced till the 2020 revival of the brand.
When Felix is cleaning his room, there is a packet of Rowntrees Randoms sweets. These sweets weren't released till 2009 which is after the setting of 2006/07.
The karaoke scene, during which the song Low by Flo Rida (feat. T-Pain) is performed, takes place during the summer of 2007. This song was not released until November 2007.

Crew or equipment visible

Camera shadow visible on Oliver as he leans against the wall, drinks and watches Felix from afar during the party sequence.

Character error

Michael Gavey asks Oliver to "Ask [him] a sum" to prove how quick and smart he is, but he actually meant to ask for an equation, as a sum refers only to addition.
