- A seventeen year old schizophrenic refuses to take his pills, just as a murderer is on the loose. Venture into Oliver's Mind.
- A 17-year-old schizophrenic, Oliver Scarlett is watching television alone on a stormy night. The news-anchor (Alexander Kerrigan) reports that a dangerous man nicknamed the "masked murderer" is at large. Oliver's mother, Eva Scarlett (Renee Gelbard Haubner) emerges, asking Oliver to take his evening medication. Eva questions Oliver's fixation with the television screen, and it is revealed that the news-anchor was a figment of his imagination. In Oliver's efforts to prove to himself that he is not a "freak" in need of medication, he purges himself of the pills that his mother makes sure he swallows. Consequently, Oliver becomes paranoid that the masked murderer is nearby. After what Oliver perceives as a close encounter with the man, he eventually has a breakdown in his bedroom. Eva confronts him, and discovers that he has been throwing up his medication. She succeeds in convincing Oliver that the man is only a hallucination. Oliver feels his mothers pain, and accepts that the man is not real. Later, Eva is crying to herself when she is attacked by a masked man, whom she believes is Oliver. Oliver appears just outside of the crime scene, and we are unaware if the incident was reality, imagined, or something more sinister. At a later time, Oliver is alone in a hospital bed, watching television. The news anchor (Michael Bassett) is reporting the murder of Eva Scarlett. A nurse emerges, (Samantha Algaze) and Oliver is unaware that he is even watching television. We are left to decide for ourselves whether the scene was truth or merely a twisted projection of Oliver's Mind.
