Inspector Lewis and company are called to investigate murders at a trivia aficionado weekend in "Your Sudden Death Question." Contestants compete for a 5,000 pound prize on this weekend, which starts out with a little bit of strain. One of the contestants, a true expert, is recognized by a woman who dated him in college. She becomes annoyed when he has no recollection of her and is also interested in her friend. He is a brilliant man who had to leave an excellent college post. When he winds up murdered, there are more than a few suspects.
It falls to Lewis and Holloway (the son of actor Edward Fox and the nephew of James Fox) to ferret out the relationships and pasts of all of the contestants, and their investigation also focuses on the organizer.
Pretty good. It's not as dark as some of the others in this series. I happen to like Lewis and his handsome partner. I like to think that Inspector Morse taught Lewis a few things.
