Learn more- "Tonight we begin our 200th episode celebration," host Tom Bergeron announces on "Dancing with the Stars." In other words, get ready for a whole lot of filler.
It starts with the show's pros doing a big group dance to Beyonce's "Crazy," which was the first song ever danced to on the show's first season.
The performance show will include a team competition, with the dancers split into two teams, captained by former "Dancing" champions Kristi Yamaguchi and Apolo Anton Ohno.
Kristi's team is Rick & Cheryl, Bristol & Mark, and Kyle & Lacey. Apolo's team is Kurt & Anna, Jennifer & Derek, and Brandy & Maks.
Team Kristi: Kristi's three couples perform the cha cha cha. The crowd loves it. Len Goodman says he thought they'd be the underdogs, but they proved him wrong. Bruno praises them all, but points out Rick Fox. He also says Bristol missed a step. Carrie Ann says they showed off that they worked well as a group. Scores: 8, 8, 8. Total: 24
Team Apolo: Apolo's team also performs the cha cha cha, incorporating the patty-cake move he did in his version of it a few seasons back. Bruno loves it, pointing out good moves by Kurt, Brandy and Jennifer. Carrie Ann says she liked that everyone was at their best and nothing was "dumbed down" for the benefit of anyone. Len says they all upped their game. Scores: 9, 9, 9. Total: 27
Kyle & Lacey: With the added challenge of reinterpreting an iconic dance from a past season, Kyle & Lacey landed the paso doble made famous by Mel B. & Maks. Len says Kyle upped his game. Mel B, who is judging on this dance, says Kyle blew her away and was "very sexy." Bruno says Kyle had the attack and energy "of an untamed young bull," but points out Kyle's lines on his arms. Carrie Ann says Kyle did a good job channeling his power and strength, as Mel did. Scores: 10 (Mel B.), 9, 8, 8. Total: 35
Kurt & Anna: Kurt drew Emmitt Smith's iconic tango, noting that Emmitt is the only football player to have ever won the competition. Kurt gets annoyed when Anna says the dance moves are "fairly easy," so he takes her out to Arizona Cardinals football practice to show her how football moves he's done all his life are easy to him, but difficult for her. Bruno says Kurt was much improved from last week, but points out something with Kurt's posture. Carrie Ann says Emmitt brought his character to life and Kurt did a good job of doing the same. Emmitt compliments Kurt on his suit and says he saw something "that was very special." Len praises Kurt for coming back strong after getting criticized last week. He says it was sharp and had drama. Scores: 10 (Emmitt), 8, 8, 8. Total: 34
Bristol & Mark: Kelly Osbourne's iconic Viennese waltz was the order of the day for Bristol & Mark. Coming off her best scores of the season, Bristol is primed to keep her momentum. Carrie Ann says there's something poetic about Bristol when she moves, but there's still something missing. Kelly says Bristol stole her heart and that "there's something so beautiful about what you do." Len says he enjoyed it very much, but that Bristol and Mark still lack a little bit of chemistry. Bruno says she could still "ignite a little more," but that Bristol generally did a good job with it. Scores: 9 (Kelly), 8, 8, 8. Total: 33
Rick & Cheryl: Rick is looking to tap into the fun that Helio Castroneves was having when he performed his iconic quickstep a few seasons ago. He brought his girlfriend Eliza Dushku to rehearsal because she knows the fun and crazy side of him. Len says Rick thoroughly enjoyed himself, which made the judges enjoy themselves. He says it was good. Bruno says Rick gave his best performance and had "more faces than Jim Carrey." Helio says Cheryl included a lot of the original dance to their benefit. Carrie Ann says it was "by far" Rick's best dance. Scores: 10 (Helio), 9, 9, 9. Total: 37
Brandy & Maks: After leading the pack for two weeks straight, Brandy says she wants to win even more. They pulled Gilles Marini's iconic foxtrot, which was all about character. Bruno says "that was a foxtrot," and adds that it was "sizzling with sex." Still, he points out a mistake. Gilles says he had goosebumps and says the performance was "unreal." Carrie Ann says Brandy attacked the sensuality and went into "elegant and beautiful" in hold. Len says he's surprised "at these people being so pedantic about a slight mistake when we've just witnessed the most fantastic foxtrot..." and the crowd's cheers drown him out, but he clearly liked it. Scores: 9 (Gilles), 9, 10, 9. Total: 37
Jennifer & Derek: After a couple of weeks of struggling, Jennifer pulled Drew Lachey's iconic tango. Her body is feeling the effects of weeks of hard work, and she got emotional in rehearsal when realizing that her 50-year-old body couldn't do what she was asking it to do. Carrie Ann says people love nothing more than to see someone bounce back and blow the doors off like she did. Len says Jennifer put all her frustration into the passion of the dance. Drew says Jennifer's musicality was amazing, and says she's "got a real shot" at winning the whole thing. Bruno says she was like a phoenix rising from the ashes, and tells her she can go "all the way." Scores: 10 (Drew), 9, 9, 9. Total: 37 + 27 = 64
