Age Discrimination, Gangs and Realism ***
edwagreen22 February 2011
Warning: Spoilers
We have to be somewhat realistic here. Harriet Korn is mediating a dispute between gangs. This could evolve into all out war by the opposing sides in the matter. Naturally, the gang leaders are unimpressed by Harriet's mediating skills and turn to Malcolm for an ultimate solution.

In a sidebar to this episode, Tommy Jefferson brings suit when a 46 year employee feels that he has been fired due to age discrimination. This was a very appropriate subject to air. What is the employer to do? Fire the veteran employee who can bank on social security, firm pension and his savings or let go a newer employee who has nothing to fall back on? This was a good one because common sense ultimately prevailed here.

Gang Stereotypes Taken WAY Too Far - Thank God for Tommy Jefferson
unheardconcept8 March 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Contains Spoilers: The gangs in this episode are named. Neither of those names are Bloods or Crips, but for some reason, these gangs were clearly sporting their red vs blue jerseys for the world. It went to such an extreme that in their meetings at Harry's office, half of them had red soda cans while the others drank out of blue. Really? The acting of the kid trying to get out of the gang was just atrocious.

The only reason that this didn't get a 1 out of 10 is because of the Tommy Jefferson half. The back and forth between Tommy's assistant and Adam's ex-girlfriend was HILARIOUS and the actual issue at hand in the wrongful termination suit will hit home for a lot of viewers. The treatment of the elderly is an issue that needs to be addressed, however, the plight of the small business owner in a struggling economy is equally taxing.
