This show just keeps gets better! This is only the second episode and it's clear Jim Belushi and this part are match made to warm a producers heart. The writers are cranking out great stories and a number supporting actors along with Mr. Belushi make this a very entertaining show. In this episode Nick Morelli (James Belushi) comes to court for another reason and over hears a defendant accept a deal that her attorney brokered for her; things don't go the way they were expected to go and Nick gets involved. The defendant's little girl was in court and had a lot to do with Nick's taking of this case. Nick's partner Pete is having his own problems with his latest client and the D.A.

The Defenders- All Clients Need to Be Defended Like This ****
edwagreen2 October 2010
The second episode is as equally terrific as the first. Belushi is a zany, quirky lawyer who goes to bat for a young mom who accidentally killed someone while driving. His side-kick, Jerry O'Connell, helps out a guy who embezzled from the jewelry store he worked in only to have the owner come back sooner than what he thought.
Quirky is what is making the show such a hit. Behind all of his chicanery, we soon see the motives behind each of Belushi's moves. Ditto for O'Connell.
The action and the writing are both fast-paced and we seem to know where we're heading for in a most delightful, devilish way.
