David Huffman and Katherine Crawford
kevinolzak19 June 2017
The fourth chapter of CAPTAINS AND THE KINGS begins as two brothers argue over the power of wealth against the unity of labor. Joseph Armagh's own brother Sean (David Huffman) despises everything his sibling stands for in earning his considerable fortune, all done not for family but for personal gain. Joseph not only disowns Sean he also sends sister Mary (Katherine Crawford) out into a better world of serving the Lord through love and prayer. Now with only Bernadette by his side, Joseph fathers four children as he begins turning the screws to deprive Tom Hennessey (Vic Morrow) of both his wealth and standing, for putting his late wife Katherine in an early grave, and marrying Elizabeth Healey (Blair Brown), the only two women he ever loved. Following Tom's funeral, Joseph pays his respects to the not so grieving widow, who confides that Hennessey is the actual father of her teenage son, another blow to Armagh pride that serves to bring the two closer together, each trapped in loveless marriages.
