Brian Cox, Mark Strong, and Taissa Farmiga in Anna (2013)

Goofs

Anna

Edit

Factual errors

The TV screen showing the news report of the outcome of Senator Rockford's file includes a graphic reading "SENATOR ROCKFORD FOUND NO GUILTY" (instead of "NOT" guilty).
At the very beginning of the film, when a ticking clock is shown, the ticking is irregular, but it is never takes less than two seconds for it to tick one off.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

There is no license plate on the Volvo that is being driven to the estate in the early stages of the movie. It's revealed at the movie's conclusion that all everything witnessed was a memory session and not a current event that is happening. The license plate is never on the car at any point in the movie likely due to this fact.

Revealing mistakes

When Anna is remembering not 'ratting out' her roommate about the stolen liquor, she walks away just as Mousy comes out of a classroom. Her memory could not include someone behind her back.

Miscellaneous

John is browsing with an HP laptop, which appears to be running Mac OS. While this is possible, it is far from usual and would require some specialist knowledge to install.
At the beginning of the movie when a woman is trying to get away from a man in her house, she goes into the bathroom, and as she shuts the door the sliding bolt, which is pretty small, appears to come off in her hand as the camera moves elsewhere.
The song "Say Goodbye", by Natalia Safran and Mikolaj Jaroszyk, is wrongly listed as "Say Goodye" in the end credits roll.
The end credits mistakenly list Sebastian's niece as "Sebastian Niece."

Plot holes

Near the end, Anna's desperate call to John for help was not used in John's defense of the charges. The time of the call and the call itself would have at least given justification for John being in the house. The call should have at least been explained away or covered in some manner.

Character error

In Anna's recalled memories of being a little girl, she is singing to herself while playing on her own. The child playing the role is singing in an English accent, even though the character is American, living in America, with American parents and no English staff taking care of her.
