Frank Capra, who died in 1991, lived to see Skylab, America's first space station, and the Space Shuttle, though not an actual docking.
This film was produced by the Martin-Marietta Corporation for exhibition at the Hall of Science at the New York World's Fair, where it played well in the 1970's.
During screenings at the Hall of Science, the screen would go dark about halfway through as a mechanical space shuttle docked with a space station over the audience's heads.
