I found this podcast about a month back and it has rocked my world. While not only having stunning production, incredibly talented and kind voice actors, and a plot line that keeps you constantly guessing, it also has one of the most welcoming and fun fanbases I've ever seen.

This story and staff are a blessing and I wish them well in all the seasons to come!

You can feel the love from everyone involved infused in it's every crevice All the characters feel fleshed out, things have natural consequences in world, there is so many little details to think about, the plot is interesting and refreshing, the voice acting is beautiful, genuine queer rep, ect, ect.

I love that even the descriptions themselves add yet another layer of mystery to theorise over. And the dialogue! Man, the way things are described and the way every word is utilised is just breath taking!

But it still manages to balance the simplicity of a summer camp well with everything else, so you never feel too overwhelmed or out of depth (the sound track captures this masterfully!)

At first listen it may seem to be breaking the show don't tell rule, but then they divert your expectations by this actually just being the everyday and even explore how Sydney overshares. This to say things aren't said just for the sake of plot and you never get babied.

Overall, I'd recommend this to just about anyone (not including kids), and it's relatively short (34 epoisodes, 20min each) so there's really no reason not to check it out :))

This is one of my favorite pieces of media.

The concept of a podcast being told through announcements at a summer camp already has a lot of potential, and camp here and there really lives up to it. I found the story to be very engaging thanks to the formatting of the podcast. Just hearing Sydney say "good morning campers!" made me place myself in a campers shoes and think about how they percieve Sydney and how are affected by the announcements.

Sydney's announcements and diary tapes give you about as much information about him as an out of context phone call with a friend without giving you the ability to interact with the him on your own. This you have to wait for him to casually mention crucial facts about himself or wait for him to monologue about his feelings in the diary tapes in order to get to know him better. It made me listen closely and get even more sucked into the story.

I had so much fun listening to the first season of this podcast, can't wait for season two!
