An incredible finale
toadwriter13 October 2010
The final episode should have been named earth-shattering because a lot was unearthed in this final episode.

Next season we'll learn more about the significance of the tattoo... why is that symbol on all the head stones, and why did it disappear from that girl's back (sorry, I forgot her name).

The chief was responsible for the earthquakes, and he's gone, but them rocks were shaking in the thermos, so... ? Maybe he's a Marvel comic superhero.

Max made a nice splash on the scene only to die in a pretty anti-climactic manner. I tend to believe we haven't seen the last of him.

And when Audrey showed up, that was pretty cool. What, am I going to pull out another gun?

I'm real happy the show will be back and I hope it's for much more than just 1 more season. I'm contemplating getting the book. It may ruin it for me, so I may not.

Please get rid of Nathan.

Warning: Spoilers
Finale of the first season sees the cracks that are popping all over Haven to be caused by Nathan's dad, the Chief. Max shows up as an ex-con who is now paroled and cannot feel anything (physically) like Nathan. Surprise, surprise it is revealed that he is Nathan's dad. So angry Nathan is now more mad at the Chief for not telling him earlier that he was not his real biological dad. Never mind that Max is apparently a sadistic evil person and the Chief raised him so he would have a father albeit a distant not-so-great father. Then when the Chief kills himself so the cracks will not appear anymore most people would assume he would not care (I cannot picture him actually grieving) because he has demonstrated for 12 episodes how much he hated him. Instead, he blames his father/Chief's death on Audrey! Yes, that's right, he blames her for not talking him out of it. Hard to say but I actually like Duke's character more now than Nathan's...he is just too angry all the time and it kind of wears me out.

Overall the show is pretty decent, though, and I will at least watch the second season.
