Tarkin Teaser

This episode continues the rescue mission with Anakin, Ahsoka and Obi Wan attempting to rescue Jedi Master Piell and Captain Tarkin.

Tarkin shows some of his darker and more ruthless sides here which tease towards his future as Imperial Governor Tarkin in A New Hope.

The action and dialogue is very strong.

My rating: 9/10.

Counter Attack

A lot of factors made this episode feel a little repetitive. The characters were trying to get out of the Citadel, but where constantly set back on their escape, and at the end of the episode, they were back at the exact point where they started. I do not fully understand why they decided to make this a three-arc story, but nevertheless, they did. And this episode is not bad at all. It has some great action sequences and character moments, including some between Anakin and Tarkin that beautifully sets the stage for their relationship in the Empire down the line. If anything, I would have liked the episode to further the overall story of the arc a little better than it did. I felt the consequences of the episode, but I did not feel like it actually did a great job of tying the first and last episodes.

This is the first time since the start of the clone wars series that they have managed to make the second part of a series joiner more interesting than the first part.. I am very pleased with this episode.
