- Batwoman's hands are full as she juggles Jada's demands, Mary's ever-increasing power and a new romantic entanglement; Batwoman races against the clock to once again save the city and those closest to her.

- In a greenhouse, Pam has vines wrap up a CEO, Harold Marlow. He wakes up and wonders what is going on. Mary is with Pam, and Pam tells Mary that she underestimates herself just like her friends always have. Mary tells Marlow that they specifically kidnapped him because he denied the claims of many ailing people. She crushes Marlow with the vines, has them pull him up to the ceiling, and kills him. The two women walk off and Pam tells Mary to do what feels right to her, and the authorities can't stop her. Mary point out that Pam's nose is bleeding again, and tells Pam to give her some of her power that is straining Pam's system. Pam does so and, although staggered, Mary insists that she's fine.
Alice goes into the Hold Out, and finds Ryan and Luke there. She tells them that they have a problem, and explains that Pam beckoned Mary all the way from Metropolis. Ryan wonders why they should trust Alice, and says that they should stop Pam by taking away her sunshine; Renee. When Ryan figures that there's something deeper going on, Alice avoids the question.
In the woods, Pam tells Mary that she sympathizes with what Mary told Marlow. They break through a gate.
Renee gets into her car, on the phone saying that she's got the tickets and is packing. Ryan and Alice are in the back seat, and Ryan asks Renee what she's packing for.
At Gotham Dam that they've broken into, Pam says that the dam is responsible for the extinction of an entire species of fish, and eroded farm lands. She says that the dam feeds into Gotham's industrial district, and all of the owners are finding loopholes in the regulations. Pam hopes that Mary would help her drown the industries.
Alice and Ryan Renee take Renee to the Hold Out, and tells her that she's going to tell them where Pam took Mary. Renee refuses to betray Pam again, and Ryan points out that Renee saved hundreds of lives by doing so. Sophie comes in and says that Luke called to tell her where they were, and Ryan insists that Sophie being there isn't a problem. Alice figures that they've been intimate, and Luke says that someone has turned on the Batsignal. Sophie whispers to Ryan to let her talk to Renee, and promises that they'll get Mary back as she takes Ryan's hand. Ryan only says that she has to go.
Jada is waiting at the Batsignal, and Batwoman joins her. Batwoman insists that she took Marquis to stop him from playing his dangerous "game", and Jada shows her the buzzer. Batwoman says that she'll find a way to use it to cure Marquis and tries to take the buzzer, but Jada refuses to give it to Batwoman unless she gets Marquis back. When Batwoman warns that if Marquis wakes up, he'll go after Jada first, Jada says that she's safe and that she and Marquis have an arrangement. Batwoman points out that Marquis killed Jada's employees, but Jada still wants Marquis back in return for the buzzer. When Batwoman agrees, Jada gives her the buzzer and says that she wants Marquis back by midnight or they have a problem.
At the dam, Mary points out that Pam's sabotage could wipe out half of Gotham. Pam doesn't care, but Mary says that she doesn't need the heat that will come with drowning half of the city. When Pam tells Mary that shew won't make her do something she doesn't want to do, she grabs Mary and tries to drain her knowledge. Mary passes out, and Pam thanks her for her "help" and goes to the dam turbines.
Utility workers find the unconscious Mary, and one calls the EMTs while the other searches the place.
At the bar, Sophie asks Renee if Pam would keep her silence for Renee. Luke is scanning the police band, and then asks Sophie why Ryan was weirded out by him not checking with her to invite Sophie there. She asks if Ryan didn't tell him, and Luke picks up a broadcast about the workers finding Mary and calling the police. One of the officers recognized Mary.
Batwoman checks in and tells the others what happened, and Luke tells her that Mary was found unconscious and en route to the hospital. He gives Batwoman the ambulance's coordinates, and it's easier to abduct Mary from the ambulance than the hospital. Batwoman warns that she won't make Jada's midnight deadline if she goes after Mary, but figures that she's getting Mary back no matter what.
Alice joins Batwoman and drives the Batmobile, and turns on the audio from the bar where Sophie is talking to Renee about the night they spent together. Renee says that Sophie's first choice has priority over her, and Batwoman insists on listening. Alice tells Batwoman that she's avoiding her feelings for Sophie, and they both pretend they don't are because they know when they're going to get something good, they figure they're going to screw it up.
Batwoman wonders what happened between Alice and her lover. Before Alice can respond, they find the ambulance. Batwoman tells Alice to get closer, and she pulls up to it as Batwoman yells at the driver to pull over. He refuses, and Batwoman tells Alice to get in front of the ambulance. She does, and Batwoman gets up on the roof and jumps over. Batwoman climbs in the back and the driver stops long enough for Batwoman to get out with Mary's gurney. After the ambulance driver off, Alice pulls up in the Batmobile, and tells Batwoman that Mary killed a man. She says that Mary doesn't know.
The two take the unconscious Mary back to the Hold Out, and Renee explains that Mary is Pam' "sporling". She figures that Pam will finish what she started, and Ryan figures that Pam is going to hit the dam because it's the only thing along the route Pam was taking out of town. Renee warns that none of them stand a chance against Pam, and says that they need Mary to stop Pam.
At the dam, Pm sends vine to overgrow and stop the turbines.
Mary wakes up and Ryan explains that Pam almost killed her. Luke tells Mary that Pam is using her, and Ryan tells Mary that Pam created Mary as Poison Ivy because Pam needs Mary to survive. Mary doesn't believe them and prepares to love on. Alice tells her that Pam is just using her, and Mary is surprised to see Alice there. She realizes that Alice told the others about Pam, and lashes out at all of them, telling and tells them that if they were her friends, they'd respect her wishes. Ryan tells Mary that she killed someone when she thought she was just flinging him out of her way. Mary doesn't believe it, but Alice nods in agreement and Renee tells Mary that there isn't much time to stop Pam from destroying the city.
One of the utility workers finds the overgrown turbines, and goes to check the full damage. He finds Pam, who kills him as the dam continues collapsing. Mary arrives and tells Pam that she's going to kill herself from the effort. When Mary sees the dead worker, Pam says that he tried to stop her. Mary says that she doesn't to put Pam in danger of exerting herself the past of no returns, and asks if she wants a boost.

Earlier at the holdout, Renee shows the others the pheromone blocker she developed. She figures that if Mary drinks it and then Pam drains her energy, it will weaken Pam enough that if will let Batwoman beat Pam. Mary takes the blocker. Renee figures that will Pam will drain her energy from Mary, preserving Mary's life from the blocker and will get Mary back for good.
Ryan hesitates when Renee says that Pam could drain all of the energy from Mary. Mary insists that they need to, because it's the only way to stop Pam. She tells the others she won't let Pam drain her to death, and will pull away. Mary insists that Pam isn't stronger than her.

Mary screams in pain and manages to pull away, passing out from the strength. Weakened, Pam realizes that Mary has done something to her. Batwoman confronts Pam and cuts herself away from Pam's vine. The two fight hand-to-hand, Pam using vines as whips. Batwing arrives and surveys the damage, to stop the band from imploding. He cuts the vines free, but another wine grabs him. Luke remembers what has happened to him, and the voice putting him down, and insists that there's no voice but his. With that, he breaks free.
Pam tells Batwoman that there's no saving Gotham and she has to start fresh. Batwoman manages to knock Pam off the catwalk they're fighting on, knocking her out. Batwing arrives and reports that the dam is stable. He goes to the unconscious Mary and confirms that she's barely breathing, and carries her home. Pam wakes up and Batwoman tells her that the city is worth saving.
Mary wakes up at the apartment, and realizes that "she" is back. Ryan apologizes to her, saying that she'll never let her feel sidelined again. Mary tells them that she knows what happened and that she killed someone. Ryan tells her that the Poison Ivy infection killed someone and Mary is back.
Ryan joins Alice at the Hold Out bar and points out that Alice feels guilty about making Mary more like herself. However, Ryan tells her that she's on her own rather than get Alice a pardon from the mayor. As Ryan walks away, Alice points out that Ryan missed Jada's midnight deadline and can't wait to see what Jada has in mind for Ryan
Pam wakes up on a cargo plane with Renee, who tells Pam where she is. Pam accuses Renee of betraying her again, and refuses to hear Renee's explanation. She insists that they shouldn't be together, because they want two different things. Renee tells her that Pam should go if going back and destroying the city and its inhabitants is more important than them, then Pam should go back. She says that she negotiated a deal for Pam's freedom, but it means doing things Renee's way for once. Pam finally agrees to stay with Renee and asks where they're going. Renee says that they're going to Coryana, where plants are worshiped.
At the Hold Out, Mary looks at an article about Harold's death and the family he left behind. She figures that she doesn't want to know.
Sophie approaches Ryan, who says that Jada isn't returning her calls. She thanks Sophie for whatever she said that got Renee to talk, and says that Sophie kissing her didn't get her out of her head. Ryan says that it didn't work. Luke comes in and shows them a TV report that Jada told them that the city is being plagued by "flashback villains" because of Batwoman. Dana Dewitt is interviewing Jada, who says that Batwoman released the villains' artifacts.
Flooding from the damn flows into the cell, including Marquis's.
Jada tells the cameras that it's time for Batwoman to admit what she's done, and turn herself in before she does any more damage.
The water touches Marquis, waking him up.
