Very good telling of the story

I greatly enjoyed, and benefited from, watching this 30 minute video, which I purchased. The video is very worthwhile to watch if you are a Christian, or want to know about what Christianity is. This is the classic story from the Bible. Jesus, after his death on the cross, is found to be walking with two of his Disciples, who are quite upset and in a great quandary as to the meaning of, and what to do, now that they have lost their great leader. Tho the Disciples don't immediately recognize Jesus, it is He that walks with them on the road to Emmaus. Jesus allays their fears by explaining to them why the Messiah came, and why he died. I felt that the scenery and settings were very good, the acting was very clear and concise, and that the words spoken were very helpful to me to understand why Jesus came to the earth, to create a loving relationship between Man and God, and between all Mankind to one another.

More than an adaptation of road to Emmaus episode, it is a lesson about roots of birth, mission, sacrifice and resurrection of the savior. Bruce Marchiano gives the proper enthusiasm to make the story almost tangible, the dialogue is decent crafted, the result is just beautiful. A pleasant short film, for its precise target, inspiring just joy, hope and rise of faith and courage.

Very moving

Even though the Bible doesn't give the name of the second disciple who accompanied Cleopas on the road to Emmaus, one can reasonably deduce that it was Cleopas's wife Mary. But nevertheless, Road to Emmaus is a moving piece about Jesus's famous appearance along the Road to Emmaus soon after his resurrection.

This feature isn't just for Christians. It's for everyone.

Breaking bread with the followers

The Bible gives us very little information about the weeks between the resurection of Jesus and his ascension. That paucity of information allows writers to have some free rein with storytelling.

Such as the Road To Emmaus where a pair of followers are confused and troubled by the meaning of the crucifiction and the fact rumor has gotten about that the tomb of Jesus is now empty.

As these two head home they are joined by a stranger who seems to have all the answers to what has passed and its meaning. Lo and behold it is Bruce Marchiano as Jesus, but they don't realize it at first.

If I remember my Bible it says something about Jesus being seen walking and talking at different points until Pentecost and His ascension. This story here certainly could have happened.

A nicely told story of possible events.
