Transnistria's population is mainly Russian speaking with Russian names. Florin and Marius are Romanian names and they would never be used in Transnistria, including a surname like Rusu.
The badge Douglas has in his pocket is not an NYPD detective badge. It looks similar but it is all gold, a real NYPD badge has some blue coloring on it. Plus Douglas' badge has a star in the middle, whereas the NYPD badge has the seal of the city of New York in the middle.
Forrester tries to pay Sabine, and says he would do so with roubles. However, it's visible that the currency he has in his hands are Ukrainian hryvnias.
