Innovative and Inspiring

Cache Girl Saves the World covers all the bases: the format is new and innovative, the photographs and the narrative are beautiful, and the theme is inspiring. Cache Girl follows the story of Ta'li, portrayed by Thirza Defoe, as she attempts to make an understanding dust. The story begins with her as a young runaway, and it follows her as she communicates with nature to make the understanding dust. The photographs fantastically encapsulate each moment, while Stone's words are both lyrical and striking. You will be impressed while watching this novel in visions, by both the story and the story's format, and you will walk away feeling the urge to save the world.

'Cache Girl' is an important piece of work that not only entertains, but also inspires.

There are so many great things about this novel written by Adam E. Stone. Firstly, it is ground-breaking in that it is literally a 'novel in visions'. It's a wonderful combination of the audio and visual. More than just an audio book and yet not falling into the common trappings of a film, it combines the readings of the author and actors with beautiful still photographs of incredible visuals created especially for this project. Adam Stone is pioneering an entire new vehicle for literary work.

Secondly, the content of the novel is truly inspirational. There are such themes as empathy, harmony, nature, interdependence, empowerment, culture, corporatism, and more. The images and words are certainly quite thought provoking. It is sure to have its audience seeing things from different perspectives.

In addition, like some of his other novels, the author is personally connected to this work. Being from Southern Illinois gives him (and many he worked with on this project) the personal understanding and connection that is required for this type of work.

This is the kind of novel I am glad to have experienced and I have found it important enough to share with as many people as possible, especially those in and around Southern Illinois. But don't get me wrong, the universal messages of this novel will find an appreciative audience anywhere.

Thank you to Adam Stone and Thirza DeFoe (and all the others involved) for creating a wonderful project that brings audio, visual and content together in a unique and inspiring way. It makes me feel proud to say that I live in Southern Illinois, a place where something like this can be born from an idea and brought to reality in such a beautiful way!

Transformational Arts

This "novel in visions" is a stunning narrative about a young woman's transformational journey to save not only herself, but the natural world and humanity. Ta'li's true nature and mission appear "hidden" at first glance when the narrator picks her up in his truck. Stone's narrator is soulful and reflective, as if exploring Ta'li's journey along with her as she becomes aware of her strengths and solidifies her mission to bring understanding and empathy to the world. Both the photographs and music leave impressions of a story beyond the narration. Photographs linger on-screen during the story, adding a unique dimension to the project, as if combining oral tradition with movie-making, which invites the viewer to participate more fully in the creation of imagery. I was already familiar with Thirza Defoe's extraordinary work as a writer, artist, and educator. Her expressions propel the story forward. It was a pleasure to listen to Adam Stone's increasingly complex and woven storyline as it moved through several visions that included contemplations of historical events, social and environmental responsibilities, and global interconnectedness. Sarah Dalby's photographs are phenomenal and evocative of both emotion and spirit. "Cache Girl Saves the World" is a remarkable cross-genre experience that is charged with energy and purpose.
