A family register in pictures through the years involving a young woman performing many different snowboard moves. The narrator's voice, probably the person who took the pictures, as if talking to the performer presents the context in which such photos were taken and the reactions she gave to her in some of those images. While the film doesn't say who are the people involved, the summary included on the film's page here says that the two people are mother (photographer) and daughter (or son, couldn't tell exactly since most of the stills are captured/seen from a distance).
"1987-1993" is what it is: a family presentation with their unique lovely moments involving snowboarding. Great shots (my favorites are the pics taken at the final hours of the day, the conjunction between snow and the sunset are just incredible), others not so much but as the music says every picture tells a story. In terms of cinema, I wasn't moved or deeply immersed in it. Not just me, the rating's so low apparently people just didn't connect with it.
If anyone involved with the picture is reading this...It's important to capture those instants cause memory is such a fleeting thing and no one can predict the future, and as long as there films or other ways to hold on to, record and preserve, everything's precious. In this particular case, wasn't much for me but to your family it might be deeply important. It shows a connection between you and all the other members. It's a nice thing. If only we could all do that. 5/10
