Carlos

Revealing mistakes

The attack on the OPEC summit in Vienna happens on December 25, but the trees are green at the tramway station.
On a 21 December in Vienna the trees would be bare and not full of green leaves.

Anachronisms

When Carlos is in London during the 1970s, the Panda car has an American siren, rather than the usual two-tone siren used at the time.
When Carlos travels to The Hague for the attack on the French embassy (which took place on September 13, 1974) he is dropped off by taxi. This taxi has yellow license plates, which weren't introduced in The Netherlands until 1978.
In the Austrian DC-9, the exterior shows a correct OE registration mark, but in scenes taking place on the flight deck, on the instrument panel there is printed a Ukrainian registration beginning with UR. Ukraine did not exist as an independent nation in 1975; still part of the Soviet Union.
